Preppy look

Preppy look
This trend in men's and women's fashion popularized in the 1950s in the United States was borrowed from clothing worn by students in private or prep schools consisting of chino pants or a-line skirts, Ivy League shirts, cashmere or wool sweaters, penny loafers, and pony tails for women and crew-cut hair for men. It was synonymous with elitism, traditional Americana, and high quality.
